A year ago, Kellie took Maliya, Desmond and Liam to the Pumpkin Patch and Maliya seriously never stopped talking about it! So, I really wanted to make sure we did it again this year. On my last day off with the kids (tear...), Tanya, Brycen, Maliya, Easton and I headed to Oak Glen where we picked apples and pumpkins. We went to Riley's Farm... The kids had a blast. Maliya takes her pumpkins with her everywhere... And she just loves eating the apples that SHE picked. Tips and Pics below... =)
Tips for the perfect apple picking experience in Oak Glen:
1. It gets Hot, It gets Cold.... wear layers, bring a sweatshirt2. It is dirty and dusty. Wear closed toed shoes
3. It's a little further than you may think- leave early! If it's a week day, you want to get there before the schools get there for field trips.
4. Bring snacks and lunch- the food options aren't great. Pack a lunch and eat under an apple tree
5. Even if your kids don't use strollers much anymore... bring a stroller or wagon- there is lots of walking through the orchards and patches
