Maliya is so excited to have a baby brother. The first thing that she says when she wakes up in the morning is, "Where is my Brother?". She always wants to hold and hug him (although she is a little rough), and she is Always giving him kisses (it is the sweetest thing). I really thought that she would be less interested in him; but He is Her new obsession. When she first saw him, she said "Mom, he is beautiful" (in the cutest little 2-year-old voice). Last night she said, "He is a small little giant." She says the funniest things. She went to Herna's on Wednesday and brought pics of Easton - she was so excited to share them and would NOT let Herna keep the pics (they were HERS).
It has been challenging for me to explain some things about the baby... like breastfeeding. Last night, she said "Brother is hurting my Mom on her Boob, but it's ok... he is just trying to eat."
I can't wait to see their relationship grow.
How sweet! Having a younger sibling may not always be the easiest thing, but it def. has a lot of perks to it. My advice as an older sister, is to remember to share these memories with her when she's older and thinks her younger bro is icky and annoying! ;)
